My purpose
My Purposein my own words
I build things people need. This page is about why, and about the woman who showed me how.
Where it began
Who taught me what a little luxury can do?
My grandmother did. She wasn’t particularly wealthy, but she took care of everything she had. She loved her family and she was always welcoming. When she passed, her funeral was standing room only, and I had never seen anything like it.
She taught me to include people from all walks of life and never to judge them. That lesson was in me young, and I’m still trying to live up to it.
What you do with the opportunity you have is the opportunity you create for other people.

What I saw
What did I see that most people walked past?
I saw a boutique that could bring glamour, sex appeal and dignity to Prince George’s County and to the lives of women with breast cancer. We worked on Cherry Blossom Intimates for most of 2017 and opened the doors in 2018. Some people said it wouldn’t work. It did, and it changed my life and the lives of many other people.
Myya began after my grandmother had breast cancer.

Who I build for
Who do I most love to talk to?
Women who are hungry. Women who get it. We’re the first generation of women who don’t have to play by the rules every other generation has had to play by. We can break the mold, and we don’t have to do things the traditional way.
I love a room of women whose minds are open to that.
